Overview

This scale applies to short stay holiday accommodation such as guest houses, boarding houses, and bed & breakfast accommodation. It also applies to smaller hotels where there are not significant other facilities such as function rooms, bars or restaurants with significant non-residential trade. These hotels will usually be less than 20 bedrooms except in holiday resorts where they may exceptionally be up to 40 bedrooms.
