What we publish online
We publish the rating lists, which contain the valuations for all non-domestic property in England and Wales online.
What are the rating lists?
We compile all the rateable values for non-domestic property into rating lists. There is a list for each of the local councils that calculates and collects business rates bills.
All the rating lists are compiled and published every five years, at revaluation. If there is a ‘material change’, or some other reason that means we need to alter the rateable value, we will alter its entry in the rating list.
- The 2010 lists come into effect on 1 April 2010 and will last until the next revaluation.
- The 2005 lists came into effect on 1 April 2005 and last until 31 March 2010.
- The 2000 lists came into effect on 1 April 2000 and lasted until 31 March 2005
- And so on...
The 2010 and 2005 lists are all available on this site. You can view your 2010 valuation, or check previous valuations.
What valuation information is available online?
The 2010 and 2005 lists include the rateable value and a summary of the valuation for the majority of properties.
For some types of property we do not publish the summary. This may be because the information is restricted or commercially sensitive.
