Below you will find the answer to the question:
Why do I have to pay business rates based on the whole year when my business is seasonal?
Answer:
For businesses or locations where trade is normally seasonal, we will factor that in to the rateable value when we set it.
The rateable value must be the open market annual rent of the property. This will however take into account, where appropriate, that the nature of the business may be seasonal.
