Where did the information on my valuation come from?
Our valuations for pubs and licensed premises are based on actual rents and turnovers we collected from businesses between February and July 2008.
We use this information to establish levels of fair maintainable trade for all licensed premises. We then apply a percentage to the fair maintainable trade figure to calculate the rateable value .
The percentage ranges we apply are established by analysing the pub rents. They have been agreed with the British Beer and Pub Association, and are published in the 2010 Pub Guide (PDF).
