Why does it say "and premises" in the search results, when I only have a shop?
We use specific terms to refer to property when assessing the rateable value.
What you may describe as "the shop" can actually be a property made up of several parts, such as a retail area, stockrooms and an office. We term this property the "shop and premises" in our records for completeness. It does not make any difference to the valuation: we will only set a rateable value on what is actually there.
