What is a valuation scheme?

Return to previous page

Answer:

We group similar properties together to make sure we value them consistently. We call this a valuation scheme.

There are different schemes for different types of property. Each scheme outlines the approach we take and what properties are covered by it. It also has a scheme reference number to identify it.

The rateable values within a scheme will not be identical but we will have used the same approach to valuing the accommodation, car parking and other features of all the properties included in a scheme.

You can see which scheme we’ve used for your property. Find your property. The scheme reference number displayed links to the scheme’s description.
